Jackson Hole, Wyoming – November 5, 2007 – The Grand Teton Music Festival (GTMF) is pleased to announce its winter chamber music series that will take place in Walk Festival Hall, January-March, 2008. These performances mark the Festival’s first winter concerts to be held in the newly renovated - and insulated - Walk Festival Hall. Over the course of the winter season, the Festival welcomes its summer Festival Orchestra musicians back to Jackson for an outstanding series of four chamber music concerts Friday, January 11 (string quartet), Friday, February 15 (brass quintet), Thursday, March 13 (woodwind quintet), and Thursday, March 20 (percussion). As always, the Grand Teton Music Festival’s winter concerts are a vital component of its in-school education programs, bringing visiting artists into local classrooms for week-long residencies, including master classes, private instrumental instruction, and full school assemblies.

“These winter concerts are particularly meaningful to the Festival,” said Liz Kintz, Director of Artistic Planning for the GTMF. “Our Festival Orchestra musicians are familiar with a particular kind of audience in the summer, and they are excited to return to Jackson in the wintertime. They feel strongly about giving back to our community, not only by performing these concerts in Walk Festival Hall, but also by working with students in our local schools.”

The winter concerts take place at 7:30 pm in the Walk Festival Hall in Teton Village. Single tickets go on sale December 10; prices are $25 Adults, $5 Students (ages 6-18 or with valid ID). Subscription packages are also available – buy all four concerts for $80 Adults, $20 Students. For tickets and information: 307-733-1128 or www.gtmf.org.
