Jackson Hole Wine Auction Announces 15th Anniversary Event Details
January 1, 2009
The 15th annual Jackson Hole Wine Auction, benefiting the world renowned Grand Teton Music Festival, celebrates a special anniversary with a wine dinner and auction on Sunday, June 28. This premier food and wine event will be held at the Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole for Music Festival patrons and food and wine enthusiasts. The event will honor the longtime support of Shafer Vineyards, with Doug Shafer on hand to present his winery’s top selections. Chefs Alessandro Stratta of ALEX at the Wynn Las Vegas and Bradford Thompson of the Lever House Restaurant in New York City will collaborate to create a dinner specifically paired with the award-winning current release and library wines of Shafer Vineyards.

Guests will enjoy a Champagne Reception and Silent Auction upon their arrival, mingling through the grand ballroom of the Four Seasons Resort and bidding upon an array of fine wines and luxury adventures, many of which are exclusive to this event. The evening then kicks into high gear with a five-course wine dinner and thrilling Live Auction, which features a select assortment of lots to satisfy all bidders. All proceeds fund the local music education and outreach programs of the Grand Teton Music Festival. Thank you to the Wine Auction’s Grand Sponsors: the Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole, NetJets, and Saveur Magazine.

About the Grand Teton Music Festival

From a child's first experience with classical music to adult education, the Grand Teton Music Festival provides innovative programs that enrich lives every step of the way. Aspiring young musicians get ready for their first public performances through Festival-funded private instrumental instruction and programs where students perform in Walk Festival Hall – the very same stage performed on by today's top musical artists. Additional programs help these same kids prepare for the future with music master classes, orchestra mentoring, and college scholarships. These initiatives serve more than 12,000 young students, musicians, and adults each year. With arts education funding decreasing throughout the nation, the Music Festival is proud to support our community's schools and provide educational and cultural opportunities that otherwise would not be possible.
