May 8, 2009

JACKSON HOLE, WYOMING – With strong ticket sales leading up to the event and anticipation growing within the community, the Jackson Hole Wine Auction is pleased to announce the featured auction lot lineup and distinguished Champagne producers for the 15th Anniversary event this June. Beginning with the inaugural Champagne Cheers on Saturday, June 27, and continuing with the Auction and Gala Dinner on Sunday, the 2009 Jackson Hole Wine Auction is a terrific way to kickoff summer in the Tetons.

Join us first for Champagne Cheers, which promises to elevate your senses and fine-tune your appreciation for tête de cuvee Champagne. Guests will ride the Bridger Gondola 9,095 feet to Couloir Restaurant, and will be greeted by tastings of Taittinger Comtes de Comtes and Prélude, Roederer Cristal and Brut Premiere, Krug Grand Cuvee, Dom Perignon, and selections from Alfred Gratien. The evening will allow an exploration of the many facets of these exceptional Champagne estates, each paired with a small plates menu by Chef Wes Hamilton using the freshest ingredients from Snake River Farms and igourmet.com.

The weekend continues for food and wine enthusiasts on Sunday, June 28, with the 15th annual Auction and Gala Dinner at the Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole. The event will honor the longtime support of Shafer Vineyards, with Doug Shafer on hand to present his winery’s top selections. Chefs Alessandro Stratta and Bradford Thompson will collaborate to create a dinner specifically paired with the award-winning current release and library wines of Shafer Vineyards.

While the dinner will be a treat for all in attendance, the evening really kicks into high gear with the Live Auction, featuring fine wines, luxury experiences, and unique escapes. Charity auctioneer and wine specialist Fritz Hatton will be at the helm, encouraging guests to raise their paddles in support of the outreach and educational programs of the Grand Teton Music Festival. Auction lots include:

• Luxury Travel with NetJets: Six hours on a Cessna Citation Encore

• 2000 Château Haut Brion & 2005 Château La Mission Haut Brion Double Magnums

• Winter Note #7: A large-scale artwork by artist Richard Painter, represented locally at the Diehl Gallery
