longstanding participants and fresh faces to the base of the majestic Teton Mountain Range for three days of exceptional food and wine to benefit the world renowned Grand Teton Music Festival, June 24 to June 26.
Featured wineries for the 2010 event include Chateau Montelena, Louis Jadot, Verite, Peter Michael, and M. Chapoutier.
Celebrity chefs include Aureole’s Christopher Lee, Blackbird’s Paul Kahan, Citronelle’s Michel Richard, Mozza and La Brea Bakery’s Nancy Silverton, Nobu’s Ricky Estrellado & Toshio Tomita, Restaurant August’s John Besh, and Ristorante di Mare’s Paul Bartolotta.
Signature Private Dinners open the festivities on Thursday, June 24. Gracious patrons and friends host intimate dinners in Jackson Hole’s most beautiful homes, with fare by star chefs and exclusive wines by featured winemakers. The Wine Auction carefully pairs each chef, vintner and host to ensure a rare dining experience.
Friday, June 25 features the Auction Preview, Premier Seminar and Taste of Jackson Hole. All 2010 auction lots will be available for preview during the day at the Auction Preview in Walk Festival Hall, home of the Grand Teton Music Festival. That evening, special guest Eric Asimov hosts a 10-vintner panel, each pouring their top vintages, for the Premier Seminar in Hotel Terra’ s ballroom. Then, weekend guests join valley locals at Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole for the popular Taste of Jackson Hole, showcasing talented local chefs and a select group of 20 tasting vintners, who will be on hand to pour and discuss their unique wines.
More than 500 guests gather at the Gala and Live Auction on Saturday, June 26, at the beautiful new Teton Village resort property, Shooting Star, for the culmination of the weekend’s activities. The silent and live auctions at the 2010 Wine Auction feature rare wine collections and fine luxury experiences. Past auctions have included all-inclusive trips to Amanresorts and Four Seasons properties around the world; collections of Harlan Estate, Château d’Yquem, and DRC La Tâche; private yacht vacations; and exclusive winery experiences. Following the auction, a casual “mix and mingle” offers a final tasting of the weekends offerings with a showcase of all 10 star chefs and 10 celebrated vintners. Few other events offer so many opportunities for personal interaction with headlining stars, all while indulging in their signature tastes.
