Grand Teton Music Festival presents Latin Fire on August 9 and August 10
JACKSON HOLE, WYOMING – August 8, 2013 – Grand Teton Music Festival’s weekend orchestra series presents “Latin Fire” with compositions from De Falla, Ravel, Revueltas and Rodrigo on Friday, August 9 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, August 10 at 6 p.m. in Walk Festival Hall. This Latin-influenced program features the dynamic and charismatic Peruvian conductor Miguel Harth-Bedoya and one of the world’s leading classical guitarists, Pablo Sáinz Villegas.
Celebrated as a natural ambassador of Spanish culture, Sáinz Villegas is hailed for his “beautifully rounded guitar tone” and “soulful rendition”. – The New York Times
This weekend’s program includes Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez, Revueltas’ La Noche de los Mayas, De Falla’s Suite from El Sombrero de Tres Picos and Ravel’s Bolero, one of the most popular crowd pleasers in all of orchestral history.
Tickets to the “Latin Fire” weekend orchestra concert on August 9 & August 10 are $54 for adults and $10 for students. Tickets may be purchased online at gtmf.org or by calling the Grand Teton Music Festival ticket line at (307) 733 – 1128. All Festival Orchestra performances are held at Walk Festival Hall, located in Teton Village, and begin at 8 p.m. on Fridays and 6 p.m. on Saturdays. Locals’ rush tickets are available 30 minutes prior to the concert for $15 to residents with a valid Wyoming or Idaho I.D.
The 2013 summer season of the Grand Teton Music Festival will continue through August 17. Only one weekend orchestra performance remains following “Latin Fire.” “Tchaikovsky Spectacular” on August 16 and August 17 will feature conductor Donald Runnicles, pianist Yefim Bronfman and the Grand Teton Music Festival Orchestra.
