2013 event celebrates ‘Distinctive Flavors of the West’ — bringing top vintners and celebrity chefs
to Jackson Hole with proceeds benefiting community education and outreach programs
JACKSON HOLE, WY. – May 14, 2013 – Each summer, the Jackson Hole Wine Auction brings together the best in food and wine for a weekend event that has become one of the preeminent charity wine auctions in the nation. Since the inaugural event in the summer of 1995, the Jackson Hole Wine Auction has benefited the music education programs of the Grand Teton Music Festival and has raised millions of dollars for the continued enrichment of arts and culture in Jackson Hole.
This year, the Jackson Hole Wine Auction celebrates ‘Distinctive Flavors of the West’. The weekend kicks off with the Riedel Welcome Party at The Handle Bar, presented by Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole and Westside Wine & Spirits. The Auction and Gala Dinner will take place under a grand tent at the stunning Snake River Ranch overlooking Rendezvous Mountain. The dinner will feature celebrity chefs Scott Conant and Graham Elliot. Chef Conant of Scarpetta restaurants is one of the country’s most respected chefs, with restaurants in New York City, Miami, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Toronto. He was the recent winner of Chopped All Stars on the Food Network. Chef Elliot of Graham Elliot Restaurant stands as the youngest Four Star Chef to be named in any major U.S. city. He recently opened his third restaurant in Chicago, and is currently a judge on Fox’s MasterChef. The event will also feature local chefs Chad Horton, Head Pastry Chef for the Fine Dining Restaurant Group, Bill Boney of Dining In Catering, and well-known “Cowboy Chocolatier” Tim Kellogg of Meeteetse Chocolatier.
