CLASSIC ROMANCE
BRAHMS
Piano Concerto No. 1 in D minor, Op. 15 Listen
RACHMANINOFF
Symphony No. 3 in A minor, Op. 44 Listen

A stunning concert! This passionate performance pairs international conductor Mark Wigglesworth (drawn back to the Tetons) with the brilliant virtuoso Stephen Hough (who has just released live recordings of the Tchaikovsky piano concertos). A true renaissance man, Mr. Hough is famous not only for his immaculate piano playing, but also as a composer, author, painter, and MacArthur Fellowship (“Genius Grant”) winner. Add in two masterpieces by Brahms and Rachmaninoff, and you have an artful combination that puts the Festival Orchestra and guest artists alike in the spotlight.
