About the Harlem Quartet
Since its debut in 2006 at Carnegie Hall, the Harlem Quartet has performed throughout the U.S. and in France, the U.K., and South Africa. The Harlem Quartet was said to be “bringing a new attitude to classical music, one that is fresh, bracing and intelligent,” by the Cincinnati Enquirer. Founded by the Sphinx Organization to bring classical music to inner city schools, the ensemble won a Grammy Award in 2013 for its participation in Mozart Goes Dancing with Chick Corea and Gary Burton.
