Fantasy and Fantasia

Well-known to legions of Disney fans from the movie Fantasia, this concert’s rousing curtain opener Night on Bald Mountain, is a gem to experience in the concert hall. Then, continuing the Festival’s commitment to new compositions, Colin Currie will perform Kalevi Aho’s multi-faceted work, Sieidi, written in 2013. The concert concludes with Symphonic Dances that Rachmaninoff wrote late in life while living in the United States.
