Andrew Palmer Todd host
Loeffler from Two Rhapsodies for Oboe, Viola, and Piano
Dvořák String Quartet No. 12 in F major, op. 96
Ives Violin Sonata No. 2

This program highlights music from La Belle Epoque, roughly 1890 to 1915. While Mahler was actively writing his expansive symphonies, composers throughout the world were pursuing equally creative and ground-breaking new paths in composition while others clung to the traditions of the nineteenth century. The evening will focus on both in a program that includes works by Charles Loeffler, Dvořák, and Charles Ives.
