• Festival musicians come to Jackson Hole from across America (and sometimes the world) to share their talents with the local community in Grand Teton Music Festival performances. The presence of these distinguished musicians -- and the audiences who travel here for their concerts -- provides an economic benefit to the local community throughout the Festival season (June-August.)
• Thanks to the support of generous individuals and business sponsors, Grand Teton Music Festival invites the entire community to Music in the Hole, a free concert performed by the Festival Orchestra each year on the 4th of July.
• The 4th of July 2010 marks the 14th annual Music in the Hole presented by the Grand Teton Music Festival.
• Music In The Hole is the largest single-day outdoor event in the State of
Wyoming.
• This beloved annual community event draws more than 8,000 people, half of whom arrive from outside Jackson Hole to share in the festivities and put their dollars into the local economy.
• Organizations across the region cooperate to bring Music In The Hole to the Jackson community: Friends of Pathways (bike safety), START Bus (free transportation), Rotarians (parking management), town & county partners (infrastructure, safety, EMT), Jaycees (pancake breakfast and fireworks: Fire in the Hole), parade (Chamber of Commerce), et al.
• Only local vendors are invited participate: Be local, buy local!
• Music in the Hole provides an outstanding opportunity for families, people of all ages, and people of all cultures to come together to express their patriotic spirit and celebrate the birth our country.
• Music In The Hole also marks the official start of fundraising for Old Bill’s Fun Run, a community-wide event that benefits nearly 200 area non-profits.
